About the Emancipated Youth Advocacy Board

The Emancipated Youth Advocacy Board (EYAB) is comprised of emancipated foster youth committed to advocating on behalf of current and former foster youth.  Through an 11-year term with HEY, these young adults play an instrumental role in setting HEY policy priorities, conducting public education and outreach activities, and advocating for programs and services that improve outcomes for current and former foster youth. EYAB members receive professional and personal mentoring, connections to the HEY network of partner agencies, and vital employment experience.
