Year Up is a year long, paid job training and internship placement program for young adults ages 18 – 24. Students spend six months in a classroom setting developing essential professional skills in technology and business communication. Upon completion of the training, they are placed in six-month paid internships with local corporations. Through the course of the program, participants also earn 13 college credits through the City College of San Francisco.
The only requirements are that applicants must be between 18 – 24 years old, have a G.E.D. or HS Diploma, and legal right to work in the US.
The program has been so successful in the last few years that it has expanded across the county and now it is looking to double the number of Bay Area applicants. The application deadline for the upcoming class is August 13. Click here for an interest form and click here for a flyer.
