My New Red Shoes is a 501(c)3 with a mission to empower homeless and very low-income youth to succeed in school by providing them with brand new clothing so that they may greet the school year with pride and by educating and rallying the youth community around the needs of their homeless peers.

CLOTHING FOR CONFIDENCE PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Summary
The Clothing for Confidence Director works closely with the Executive Director to coordinate and execute My New Red Shoes’ shoe and gift card distribution program.
This is a part-time position (25-30 hours per week TBD, with additional hours required during summer months) located in Burlingame.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with approximately 50 -60 local partner agencies, including the application process, agency selection, collection and management of client information, distribution, and follow up,
  • Plan and execute the summer gift distribution to approximately 3,000 children in four Bay Area counties, including volunteer events leading up to distribution,
  • Manage the shoe donation program, including its inventory in a warehouse,
  • Oversee community outreach and volunteer recruitment and management for the program,
  • Manage all website information and written collateral related to the program,
  • Manage a volunteer committee in partnership with the Executive Director, and
  • Actively participate in organizational fundraising, including cultivating and executing retail partnerships for the organization, identifying and pursuing corporate partners, and assisting with the organization’s annual grassroots event.

Qualifications

  • Very strong organizational skills including the ability to multi task and prioritize,
  • Strong event management skills,
  • Outstanding  written and oral communication skills,
  • Self motivated and independent but also able to work well in a team,
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience,
  • Experience in community networking,
  • Flexibility in work style and work hours with advance notice,
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds),
  • Transportation required,
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and
  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for My New Red Shoes’ mission.
