Workgroups

HEY’s Education Workgroup

HEY’s education workgroup members serve as community liaisons who work to inform the larger community about the changing needs of current and former Bay Area foster youth. Workgroup members  use their combined expertise to develop projects/products that work to improve the lives of current and former foster youth. The meetings serve as strategic planning sessions where members discuss trends, policies and other community impacts that act as barriers to youth achieving their desired educational outcomes.

Core Area Workgroup

**COMING SOON** The Core Area Workgroup will be comprised of Bay Area Health, Housing, Employment and Education service providers. Four times per year HEY will act as a convener and trainer of organizations interested in improving their outcomes and developing best practices for emancipating and emancipated foster youth. During these meetings participating organizations will have the opportunity to receive updates on policies, programs and services available for foster youth.

HEY Network

HEY works to strengthen systems of support across many sectors and has a large network of public, private and non-profit agencies that work to improve outcomes for emancipating foster youth.
