HEY’s education workgroup members serve as community liaisons who work to inform the larger community about the changing needs of current and former Bay Area foster youth. Workgroup members use their combined expertise to develop projects/products that work to improve the lives of current and former foster youth. The meetings serve as strategic planning sessions where members discuss trends, policies and other community impacts that act as barriers to youth achieving their desired educational outcomes.
HEY works to strengthen systems of support across many sectors and has a large network of public, private and non-profit agencies that work to improve outcomes for emancipating foster youth.
