Voices of Foster Youth 2009
Voices of Foster Youth 2009 is organized annually by HEY. Organizations and companies that offer services to current and former foster youth and other disconnected populations are convened to meet in a centralized location so that foster youth throughout the SF Bay Area, can have full access to all services for one day in one place. This event is targeted for current and former foster youth, however, in an attempt to raise awareness about foster care it is open to the community and interested community members are encouraged to attend.
This annual event is a collaborative effort coordinated by HEY with support from: California Youth Connection (CYC), City College of San Francisco Guardian Scholars Program, City Youth Now, First Place for Youth, SFUSD Foster Youth Services, JVS, Seneca Connections, SF CASA, and SF Independent Living Skills Program.
