Foster Youth Leadership Awards

Do you know a current or former foster youth who has:

• Given back to our community?
• Spoken out for what s/he believes in?
• Demonstrated leadership?

If so, then s/he needs to be nominated for this great award!
*Remember you can always nominate yourself!

Any current or former foster youth (up to 25 years old) who has not been nominated in the past and can be nominated for the Foster Care Month Youth Awards. We have two honorees categories: Youth (17 and under) and Young Adults (18-25).

This is an opportunity for youth and young adults to be a recognized with gifts and a reception event, on Thursday, May 1st, 2008. Not all nominees will be selected, so be sure to fill out the application to your best ability. Those who will be selected will also be recognized at the Honoring Emancipated Youth (HEY) Foster Youth Connections Breakfast on Thursday, May 8th! All those who are selected must be available to attend the Breakfast on Thursday, May 8th.

Criteria for nomination:

• current or former foster youth (up to 25 years old)
• not been nominated in the past
  (don’t worry if you don’t know about this, just send in the form to us anyway)
• given back to the community in some way, or spoken out for what s/he believes in
• demonstrated leadership
