Allison Cohen joined TAYSF in July 2010. As Project Manager, she is working with local providers to strengthen the system of alternative education and workforce development options that are available to transitional age youth in San Francisco.
She also supports TAYSF’s young adult engagement work and is responsible for the Initiative’s data collection and research strategy to inform evidence-based policy-making. Allison is dedicated to expanding opportunities for all youth to fulfill their potential and has worked in various youth development, research, and advocacy organizations in both the non-profit and public sectors. Her areas of expertise include education policy and school reform, youth engagement, quantitative and qualitative research, and policy analysis. Allison holds an Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Emory University.
